The College of Nursing appreciates the role of the Information Center in activating the electronic platform for the first semester exams

   Mar 13, 2021 Dr. Amal Mohamed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing praised the Information Center at Aswan University under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghallab, President of Aswan University, and his interest in the vital role of those in charge of the electronic platform through their effective efforts in performing electronic examinations with ease and ease and working to overcome the obstacles that faced the students of the Faculty of Nursing on the platform E-university, especially students of the third and second classes, Faculty of Nursing.         Prof.  Ahmed Ghellab Mohamed, , the University Center for Professional Development at Aswan University announces the launch of the first virtual employment platform for the year (2021) under the patronage of Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Minister of Higher Education  and scientific research, in cooperation with the presidents of nine other universities.    Professor . Ahmed Ghellab – President of Aswan University added that this new platform will allow business owners to offer job opportunities and training throughout the year. This platform will also provide students with the opportunity to communicate frequently with companies and business owners and submit CVs to conduct personal interviews as well as attend many private events and seminars.  With professional  guidance.    The platform will launch its first activities under the title “UCCD March Career Expo” on Monday (March 22, 2021). This forum is the second of its kind where the first virtual forum held in September 2020 achieved great success in the presence of its elite business owners and about  (4000) students and graduates from ten Egyptian universities in nine governorates, from Aswan to Alexandria.    “Ghellab” referred to this initiative that comes under the umbrella of the University Centers for Professional Development project, which so far has reached (15) centers in ten public universities, which were established in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development and technical support from the American University in Cairo to work on bridging the gap between university education and the needs of the market.  Work and industry by providing free career guidance and training to various students and graduates.    Whereas, the University President emphasized the importance of launching this permanent employment platform within the framework of the constant endeavor to serve undergraduates and alumni.  This virtual employment platform is a dynamic three-dimensional platform that supports business owners in breaking free from the limitations of traditional recruitment processes and enables business owners and job seekers to communicate hypothetically in a manner similar to the feeling of direct and realistic dealing, and the platform provides opportunities for networking and access to the best distinguished young Egyptian cadres, through which they meet  Business owners work with university students and alumni in a virtual environment and use chat rooms, teleconferencing, webcasts, webinars  or e-mail to share information about available jobs.

The President of Aswan University praises the historic Egyptian-Portuguese and cultural relations

  Mar 11th, 2021 Professor . Ahmed Ghellab Mohamed, President of Aswan University stated that within the framework of close cooperation between Aswan University and Portuguese universities, Aswan University participated today. In the symposium on cultural relations between Egypt and Portugal in the Supreme Council of Culture, which was organized by the Supreme Council for Culture in cooperation with the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector within the “cultural relations” initiative, during which the Egyptian-Portuguese relations were celebrated. Dr. Ahmed Ghellab, President of Aswan University, added that the session was moderated by Dr. Hisham Azmi, the General Secretary of the Supreme Council of Culture, who emphasized the joint cooperation between Portugal and Egypt in all levels and fields. Ambassador Manuela Franco, Ambassador of Portugal in Cairo, mentioned the history of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Portugal, the periods of contact (since 1942) and the periods of interruption (the 1960s to Nasser’s role in supporting African independence movements in Angola and Mozambique) and the current close relations. Meanwhile, Ambassador Adel El-Alfi, the Egyptian ambassador to Portugal, presented a report on the recent achievements of the Egyptian-Portuguese relations, the reciprocal government visits between the two parties and the importance of signing cooperation protocols in all fields, especially his confirmation that the Egyptian-Portuguese relations witnessed a strong momentum after the exchange of presidential visits for the first time in the history of relations. Between the two countries, when President El-Sisi visited Portugal in 2016 and Portuguese President Marcelo de Sousa visited Egypt in 2018. Dr. Majed Al-Jabali – Head of the Portuguese Language Department at Aswan University reviewed the geopolitical position of the Portuguese language and the possible aspects of cooperation between Egyptian and Portuguese cultural institutions, and provided an overview of the stages of introducing the Portuguese language and its literature in Egyptian universities, starting with its introduction as a second language in the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University during the Deanship of Professor Dr. Makarem Al-Ghamry and passing through the establishment of the first BA in Portuguese Language and Literature at Aswan University in 2015 until the graduation of three batches, and the transfer of the experience to Al-Azhar University and the last celebration in 2019 with the opening of the Portuguese Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University. Aswan University participates with Egyptian and European universities to prepare the Diploma of Immunology

  9th, Tues,Mar,2021 Prof . Ahmed Ghalab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, said today morning, Tuesday, March 9, 2021, that the university is participating in the course of two days via the Internet with the Immunity Project team, “Preparing graduates of the Faculties of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Agriculture and Science to obtain the Immunology Diploma.” Dr. Ahmed Ghaleb added that the Immunology Diploma will be available through Blended Learning. With the participation of the Aswan University team, which includes Dr. Kamal Aziz, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Atifi, Dr. Shazly Baghdadi, the project coordinator, and Dr. Adel Abdel Fahim. Dr. Nora Sharkawy and Dr. Yasmine Mahran are with a group of Egyptian universities, namely Al-Azhar University (where Al-Azhar University is the general coordinator of the project), Cairo University, Ain Shams University and Damanhour University. Dr. Ahmed Ghellab, President of Aswan University, indicated that the project includes universities from the European Union from France, Germany and Greece. Among the results of that project, firstly the preparation of courses for that diploma in cooperation with the participating universities to give graduates a diploma of immunity, secondly, equipping a distinguished laboratory for research and special studies in the field of immunity, and thirdly, communicating with experts and professors of Egyptian and European universities participating in the project and others. Dr. Nadi Kamal Aziz explained that the importance of this project, especially now, comes in light of facing the challenges facing Corona in Egypt and internationally within the framework of distance learning.

A cooperation agreement between Aswan University and the Sports Federation of Universities to organize the International Forum for Sport Tourism (prospects and aspirations)

       Feb 28, 2021 Within the framework of the political leadership’s interest in sporting activities, and in implementation of the presidential initiative (sport is national security), the Faculty of Physical Education in Aswan organizes the International Forum for Sport Tourism, Prospects and Ambitions (Aswan Sweeter) during the period from 18-20 March 2021, under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Research Alami, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Major General / Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, and Dr. Ahmed Ghallab, President of the University and President of the Forum. President of Aswan University: He inspects the start of the first semester exams, amidst strict procedures

Today, Sat, Feb 27, 2021, Prof. Ahmed Ghellab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, inspected the committees of the first semester exams at the Sahari campus, which are performed by 28,000 students in the various faculties of the university, which are numbering 18 colleges and institutes. Prof. Ahmed Ghalab Muhammad, the university president, confirmed that the university has made all preparations for conducting the first semester exams in advance, in accordance with the regulations and directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities. Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the plan of Aswan University to ensure the smooth functioning of the work of the first semester exams is to provide well-ventilated halls for the examination committees and take into account the social spacing of one and a half meters between each student, while wearing medical masks and providing disinfectants and sterilization tools inside each committee with a temperature measurement. For students upon entering the various colleges and communicating with the crisis management committees directly and with the application of all precautionary measures in light of facing the new Corona virus, in order to ensure the safety of students, the teaching staff, their assistants and all employees at Aswan University, and work to harness all the university’s capabilities to run the exams and work to make the semester exams successful The first in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through. Aswan University Council: discusses the procedures for the first semester exams

  The Aswan University Council No. (103) convened today headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghalab Mohamed, President of Aswan University,  prof. Ayman Othman, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and prof. Magdi Muhammad Ali, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of the university president’s advisors and faculty deans. The  council was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Ghallab Mohammed, President of the University, by welcoming the attendees, members of the Council. University President Ahmed Ghellab Mohamed confirmed that all precautionary measures have been applied to confront the Covid 19 in the various committees of the university’s faculties.This comes as part of the university’s plan in preparation for the launch of the marathon for the first semester exams, scheduled starting next Saturday, February 27, 2021.This is in accordance with the regulations and directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities, according to the examination schedules announced in the various colleges. Dr. Ahmed Ghallab added that we are working to observe the standards of justice and compassion in order to facilitate the university students. The council reviewed the most important construction projects at the university that are going in the university  campus of  Sahari and the university campus in New Aswan, as well as all medical facilities in university hospitals and specialized medical centers at the university in New Aswan, which is being implemented and will represent a qualitative transfer to the medical and health system in southern Upper Egypt. Including what was recently opened, the Central Care Unit, which includes 10 beds, to serve patients in Aswan. And the University Hospital in Aswan, adding about 300 beds by adding many operating rooms, intensive care and other medical services.85% of the Internal  Hospital construction project has been implemented.  Internal  Hospital consists of 5 floors. The hospital includes 150 beds distributed in general and private internal medicine departments, brain, nerves, heart, tumors, thoracic, dermatological and physiotherapy departments.  also  a project to establish a reception and emergency hospital, which consists of  4-floors as a reception and emergency hospital. It will also include another 150 beds in the departments of surgical operations, trauma emergency, intensive care, radiology and laboratories. And work to end the current expansion projects, As well as equipment for the central restaurant, dining halls, sterilization rooms, central laundries, and housing for doctors in the outpatient building. And the development of the orthopedic, internal and urology departments. The Council approved the appointment of a number of staff and their assistants in the positions of teacher and assistant professor and the award of academic degrees.
