The new in libraries conference held on 7/3/2018:
This conference was held in the Arab academy for science, technology and maritime transport in Aswan under the patronage of OM Habiba organization and Agha Khan University in Pakistan.
The conference aimed at training library administrators of Aswan University on the latest techniques of scientific research and how to help the library visitors to the maximum extent.
The conference started with two lectures by MR: Peter _library administrator in Agha Khan University. The lectures addressed the following points:
The first lecture:
- Emphasizing the importance of the library administrator’s role for the scholars.
- Reaffirming the importance of creating a page on the internet to contact with students through it and announces the library’s activities and answer the queries of the scholars, and holding workshops and cultural clubs on the most important developments in libraries.
- Introducing Agha Khan University website aku.edu.
- Introducing publishing rights in Agha Khan University which are: write the author’s name, not to rewrite the quoted paragraphs, and not to get financial compensation for using the quoted parts.
