   Feb 2, 2021 Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghellab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, received today, Tuesday, Dr. Ismail Hassanein, Director of the Technical Office of the President of the Egyptian University for Private E-Learning, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Othman, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed Nagdy, to inspect the Egyptian University branch of classrooms and research laboratories at the branch headquarters The Egyptian University on the campus in New Aswan. Dr. Ahmed Ghellab, President of Aswan University, said that the visit comes within the framework of the preparations made by the university to receive the second semester and work to implement all precautionary measures to confront the emerging corona virus from the sterilization of buildings and gates with self-sterilization and to ensure these measures in order to ensure the safety of students. And to stand on the extent of the branch’s readiness to receive students to complete the study for the second semester of this year in light of the implementation of precautionary measures, within the framework of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and work to develop cooperation between the two universities in light of the distance learning system in light of confronting the new Corona virus

Under the patronage of Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab and the President of the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology Prof. Mahmoud Saqr, Aswan University’s Entrepreneurs Club has the pleasure to announce its 1st contest under the title” Aswan University Students are Distinct Entrepreneurs“ The Terms: The contest is divided into 2 parts; For individuals and for batches The participating batches shall be varied in specialties (at least 2 different specialties) It is better to have taken actual procedures in the pilot project Applications shall be submitted from 17th to 30th 2021. The pilot projects shall be submitted according to the announced model in the Link. The competition operating model will be sent to be fulfilled by the applicants after their application via the previous link. Qualification will be done in February  Arbitration and announcement of the winners will be during February Arbitrators and experts from inside and outside Aswan university will be included in the arbitrary committee. Prizes: Monetary prizes – technical support – appreciation certificates -incubation of opportunities  – participation in the foundation of emerging companies. Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that the University has signed a cooperation protocol with the ministry of endowments to train imams and preachers for promoting their awareness of the current issues in several fields as Arabic sciences and its fields in psychology, communication skills and elocution. The protocol included the faculties of arts, Dar Uloom, social work and medicine. The protocol signing was witnessed by the minister of endowments Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa as well as Aswan governor Mj. Gen. Ashraf Ateya. Prof. Ghallab said that it was agreed on opening the door for registration in master and PhD degrees for imams and preachers while the tuition expenses are paid by the ministry of endowments.

Aswan University Ranking Office urges the university scientists and researchers to update their data on WoS & SCOPUS, unify their accounts, ensure that their research are enrolled in these databases and met the criteria and to ensure the researcher’s affiliation to Aswan university.

Information Technology Institute in cooperation with Aswan University and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport announces a training course  “IT Egypt 101 Train of Trainers” . The course aims at supporting the Egyptian universities efforts in adding a variety of topics in the computer courses delivered to their students. Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab inspected the conclusion of the University’s Book Fair 24th Dec. to 31st Dec. 2020 which was held in the faculty of agriculture. He was accompanied by the vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman and the director general of Aswan culture branch Ms. Nagwa Ahmed Al Sayed, Prof. Ghallab said that the last day of the fair witnessed considerable participation from the students, the academic staff and the outside society’s members to buy different books. This year the book fair included 20  publishing houses and 150 titles in the different fields. He added that the book prices are handy. It should be noted that the fair’s opening was witnessed by the minister of culture Dr. Enas Abd Al Dayem, Aswan governer Maj. Gen. Ashraf Ateya, Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab and the president of the general authority of culture palaces Dr. Ahmed Awwad.
