Aswan University Mourns the Passing of His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait

Aswan university president, vice presidents, deans, academic staff, and employees mourn with great sadness and sorrow the death of His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Al-Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who died today asking Allah to enter him in his precious paradise. Aswan university expresses sincere condolences to the sisterly State of Kuwait, government and people.

Aswan University President Praises the Role of Armed Forces in Enhancing Students’ Sense of Belonging

Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab said that there is fruitful cooperation between the university and military education administration regarding qualifying the graduates via training courses for promoting their loyalty and sense of belonging. In the same context, lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Abd Al Qader Ghazy, the manger of military education administration, said that the military education administration holds in coordination with the university president electronic training courses protocols. 4 courses were held via Aswan university electronic platform: Fourth Generation War 4GW Rumors  and its Negative Role on Society Internet and the Risks of Means of Social Media  The Armed Forces’ Role in Comprehensive Development At the end of the course, students submit a research through which he/she is evaluated.

Dentistry Sector of SCU Inspects Dentistry Faculty in Aswan Al Gadeda Campus

Today corresponding to 18th Sep. 2020, Dentistry Sector of SCU visited the faculty of dentistry in Aswan Al Gadeda Campus. The committee was accompanied by Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, the vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman, the vice president of community service and environmental development Prof. Magdi Mohamed Ali, the dean of the faculty of medicine Prof. Mohammed Dahshori, the acting dean of the faculty of dentistry Dr. Wael Mohammed Moubark as well as the dean of the faculty of agriculture Prof. Yasser Abd Al Hameed.  Prof. Ghallab said that the sector’s committee included Prof. Khaled Mohamed Abu Al Fadl, the committee’s chairman, the former dean of Suez Canal university’s faculty of dentistry Prof. Abady Adel Al Kady, the former dean of Ain Shams university’s faculty of dentistry Prof. Tareq Salah Al Deen Hussin. The committee inspected the faculty of medicine’s labs and praised the university constructions in Aswan Al Gededa headquarters.

The South Korean Ambassador Visits the Faculty of Al Alsun

Today corresponding to 14th Sept. Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab received the South Korean ambassador Hong Jin-wook in the university headquarters at Aswan Al Gadeda in a first visit to the faculty of Alsun since the COVID-19 pandemic started. The two parts discussed the ways of fruitful cooperation between Aswan university and the South Korean Embassy in Cairo. In this context, Prof. Ghallab stressed on the strong relations between the two parts through spreading the Korean language via teaching it in the Korean language department which is considered the 1st department to teach the language in Upper Egypt. He confirmed the significance of the meeting which paves the way to cooperation in many fields such as the technical field especially in the scientific faculties( faculty of engineering, faculty of energy engineering and faculty of fisheries technology and fish). Prof. Ghallab said that through the Korean cultural attache the university will engage Korean academic staff who have the commands of both languages Arabic and Korean to teach in the Korean Language department.   For his part the Korean ambassador said that the Korean companies inside and outside Egypt seek to hire the graduates in the Korean department where there are about 20000 Egyptian employees work in it. He added that, an annual competition will be announced through which the distinct students will be selected to have scholarships to study in the Korean universities. At the end of the visit the Korean ambassador expressed his happiness by Aswan university’s warm reception and praised Aswan’s touristic location which connects Egypt to the African countries. the meeting was attended by the vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman and the dean of the faculty of Al Alsun Prof. Naser Abd Al Razeq.

Important Meeting

Today corresponding to 6th September 2020 Aswan university president Prof. Ahedmed Ghallab had a meeting with the team of the project of granting diploma degree for postgraduate students in immune changes based on hybrid learning in Aswan university’s center of quality assurance and accreditation. The meeting was held under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Ghallab and the vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman. In this context, Ghallb said that the project is participated by the universities of Aswan, Al Azhar, Cairo, Ain Shams, and Damnhour as well as 3 European universities from Germany, France and Greece in one of the European Union Projects to grant diploma degree to postgraduate students in immune changes  based on Hybrid Learning”. He added that the project will start during November 2020 and it will continue for 3 years. It aims at: Construction of TLC lab to achieve hybrid learning. Building research and educational links between the European universities in Germany, France and Greece and the Egyptian ones among which Aswan university. Promoting the efficiency of the academic staff and their assistants. Upgrading the learning capacity of Aswan university students. Bridging the gap between the academics and the civil society through social economy which aims at treating the patients and limiting the spread of immune diseases. Aswan University Precedes Egyptian and Arab Universities According to THE Rankings 2021

Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that Aswan university achieved the first place at the level of Egyptian and Arab universities according to what was announced by THE rankings 2021 for the most Arab countries which are included in the ranking that have the best universities 2021. The ranking for 2021 shows the following: Egypt came in the 1st rank as for the number of participating universities where 19 universities took part in the Ranking among which Aswan university came in the first place locally and 401 globally. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came in the second rank where it has 7 participating universities of which King Abdul Aziz University ranked 1st locally and 201 globally. Algeria in the 3rd place where it has 7 participating universities where Ferhat Abbas University of Setif came in the 1st place locally and 501 globally Tunis in the 4th rank where it has 5 participating universities of which The University of Tunis El Manar came in the 1st place locally and 1001 globally Lebanon in the 5th place where it has 3 participating universities of which The American University of Beirut came in the 1st place locally and 301 globally. The United Arab Emirates came in the 6th place where it has 3 participating universities of which Khalifa University came in the 1st place locally and 351 globally Jordan in the 6th place where it has 2 participating universities of which Jordan University of Science and Technology came in the 1st place locally and 401 globally Iraq in the 8th place where it has 2 participating universities of which the University of Baghdad came in the 1st place locally and 1001 globally. Morocco was placed 9th where it has 2 participating universities of which Cadi Ayyad University came in the 1st place locally and 1001 globally. Qatar was placed 10th where it has one participating university, Qatar University which is ranked 301 globally.  Oman came in the 11th place where it has one participating university, Sultan Qaboos University which is ranked 801 globally.  Kuwait came in the 12th place where it has one participating university, Kuwait University which is ranked 1001 globally.

Aswan University Announces the Digital Transformation Program

Aswan University president Casts his Ballot in Senate Elections

Today corresponding to 11th August 2020 Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab casted his ballot in Senate election in his polling station in Al Shabat Al Mouslemat school, Aswan governorate.  In the same context, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab said that Senate Elections is one of the main pillars in the New State’s comprehensive development in the different fields and advancing production under the leadership of his excellency the president Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi. He urged Aswan people to go and cast their ballots. Prof. Ghallab was accompanied by the dean and the vice dean of the faculty of science Prof. Atef Ibrahim and Prof. Mohamed Raslan respectively.
