Aswan University ranks 95th in the world in the “British Times” classification

Prof. Ayman Othman, acting president of Aswan University, announced that Aswan University ranked 95th in the world and first among Egyptian universities according to the classification of The Times of British Journal of Sustainable Development. Prof. Ayman Othman congratulated members of the faculty and staff at the university for achieving this classification, stressing the continuation of development work at the university at all levels to achieve advanced positions among universities.  Prof.  Ayman Othman, acting president of Aswan University, stated that Aswan University, with all its energies, capabilities, scientific facilities, laboratories, applied laboratory,  serves the goals of sustainable development and works to open horizons for investment in Aswan Governorate. Prof. Ayman Othman added that my first duties in the presidency of the university began in reviewing and evaluating the vision and the strategic plan of the university so that the university would be a beacon of development and an icon for youth employment and linking them to the labor market and knowing and directing their employment opportunities even before their graduation. From my perspective, the university is a container for development, not just stands and division. Prof. Ayman Othman, the university’s acting president, announced that the university represents the house of expertise. There is close cooperation from integration with the great efforts made by Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, in moving the wheel of production and development through stimulating investment operations in the fields of agriculture, industry, mining, tourism, and health. This is my first message to your Excellency, we are with you and all our facilities are at your service, and it is time for us to integrate together to serve our beloved Aswan. A specialized team is now compiling feasibility studies for sectors that represent a priority for development in the governorate. They will be presented in preparation for free commercial use to the governor. Working groups are also being prepared to lay down plans to support the governorate in establishing investment cities for granite, another for dates, another for phosphates, and another for fish. The coming period will witness an unprecedented involvement of the university in serving all quarters and villages of the Aswan Governorate.  My new slogan * University is a beacon for development *

The Approval of the University Council to establish a postgraduate stage at the College of Commerce and Al-Alsun College

The Aswan University Council, in its meeting held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, headed by Prof.  Ayman Mahmoud Othman – Acting President of the University, expressed his sincere condolences and condolences to the families of the victims of the Sohag train accident, stressing that the leadership of Aswan University, faculty members, the administrative staff, and students are sincerely presenting Condolences to the families of the victims, wishing God Almighty to dwell in them in His spaciousness, to inspire their families with patience and solace, and to bless the injured with a speedy recovery. Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Acting President of the University, and the University Council expressed their wishes for a speedy recovery to Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghellab Muhammad, the former President of the University, and the continuation of health and wellness. The works of Council No. (104) were inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – Acting President of the University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Magdy Muhammad Ali, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Deans of Faculties and Advisors to the President of the University. President of Aswan University, University Hospital possesses medical capabilities, human cadres, and modern equipment to serve the people of Aswan

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, emphasized the remarkable development witnessed by university hospitals at Aswan University in light of the boom that the medical sector is witnessing at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the most important and latest findings of medical sciences at the level of The world of modern technologies and medical devices in the University Hospital in Aswan through the support of the Ministry and the Ministry’s University Hospitals Sector for University Hospitals in Aswan. Dr. Muhammad Zaki Dahshouri, Dean of the College of Medicine added that the medical system in university hospitals in Aswan is witnessing remarkable development under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed Ghalab Muhammad, President of the University, and that a number of surgeries were performed in the presence of doctors from different governorates in the Department of Urology, as these medical capabilities are only available in The University Hospital of Aswan, because of its capabilities and good modern equipment Especially the Department of Urology and Reproductive Medicine of Aswan, headed by Dr. Mohamed Mostafa, Head of the Department and Vice-Dean of the College of Medicine for Postgraduate Studies and Research, who today held the activities of the department’s monthly scientific day in the outpatient hall at the University Hospital in Aswan, which dealt with the new in flexible ureteroscopy and laser in the treatment of kidney stones. Whereas, these units and microscopy devices that characterize the University Hospital in Aswan, which are used in the largest micro-surgical operations carried out by the University Hospital in light of the availability of medical capabilities and human cadres of doctors and consultants at the University Hospital in Aswan. Dr. Ashraf Maabad, Executive Director of University Hospitals in Aswan, explained that the university hospital is witnessing a medical boom in the various departments of the hospital from the development and installation of the latest medical devices to provide the best distinguished medical service to serve the people of Aswan Governorate from its south to its north.
