Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghalab Mohamed – President of Aswan University, within the framework of the state’s interest in youth and creating job opportunities for graduates to advance production and development, announced that the virtual employment forum will be held on Monday, the 22nd of this March, through the internet technology through the University Center for Professional Development at the University Aswan (University Centers for Career Development) is preparing graduates and students of Aswan University to prepare to participate with 4000 students from ten Egyptian universities in the first activities of the Virtual Employment Platform for Universities, which is the UCCD March Career Expo held under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Dr. Ahmed Ghalab, President of Aswan University, indicated that the university is keen to provide job and training opportunities for students and graduates, and the employment platform and the virtual employment forum is an important step to deal with the developments of the current situation and take advantage of modern technological capabilities, as the university center team (university centers) worked to prepare graduates and students for this. The important event is through specialized workshops for conducting personal interviews, preparing CVs and other means of support to ensure the success of students in obtaining the best opportunities. Dr. Ahmed Ghellab explained that the forum is the second of its kind, as the first virtual forum held in September 2020 achieved great success in the presence of a group of business owners and about 4000 students and graduates from ten Egyptian universities in nine governorates from Aswan to Alexandria. This initiative comes under the umbrella of the University Centers for Professional Development project, which has so far established 16 centers in ten government universities in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development, with technical support from the American University in Cairo, to work on bridging the gap between university education and the needs of the labor market and industry by providing vocational guidance and training free of charge to various Students and alumni. The Virtual Employment Forum for University Career Development Centers 2021 is a virtual online event through which business owners meet university students and graduates and use chat rooms, teleconferencing, webcasts, webinars and e-mail to exchange information about Available jobs.
